Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office Selects SIG SAUER P320

California Agency Praises Modularity and Performance of Striker-Fired Pistol

STI International has teamed up with self-defense and weapons training expert Chris Costa to design the new Costa series of pistols.

The new Costa H.O.S.T. pistol comes ready to run right out of the box with the new Vortex Viper® red dot sight. The gun also includes tall Tritium sights that will function when a suppressor is attached to the gun’s pre-threaded barrel.

The 2011® platform provides higher round capacity. The Modular design of the 2011 transfers recoil along a flatter plain for better control and faster follow up shots. Daniel Defense only requires that the lower receiver be shipped for inspection and for any necessary corrective action. Daniel Defense’s Safety Notification website contains detailed instructions (including a video) for detaching the lower receiver from the upper receiver. Consumers should send in their lower receiver using the pre-paid, pre-addressed UPS shipping label and box. Once the inspection is complete and any necessary corrective action is taken, the lower receiver will be shipped back to the consumer with provided tracking information.

Countdown To Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match

Today marks one month to go until teams begin arriving in Rogers, Arkansas, for the 52nd annual Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match (The Daisy Nationals), the largest national 5-meter BB gun match in the nation. Held June 30-July 3, this prestigious event has been conducted by Daisy each year since 1966. Since 2010 Rogers has served as the host city to Daisy’s premier event.

Teams from all over the United States will be arriving one month from today at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center with high hopes of being named National Champion. Teams earned that privilege by placing first, second or third in a state match. These young shooting athletes (ages 8 to 15) are the best of the best and will be competing for medals and national records shooting Daisy’s 499B Champion single shot BB gun, described as the most accurate BB gun in the world. As an incentive for coaches to develop teams, teach Daisy’s curriculum (available to download from www.daisy.com) and compete in local and state matches, Daisy presents a monetary award to each team which qualifies for, attends and competes in this match.

The event begins on Friday, June 30, when teams arrive to practice. Throughout the four-day event, the teams will find an opportunity to tour the Rogers Daisy Airgun Museum (http://www.daisymuseum.com) and visit various attractions in historic downtown Rogers and the surrounding area.

The 5-meter competition begins Sunday, July 2, but shooting is only a part of this contest. Each competitor will also complete a written test on rules and gun safety and the score is a significant part of the overall team score. Other activities add to the fun and excitement of the Daisy Nationals, including a painted gun, best T-Shirt and other side-contests, as well as a barter bar (a trading event for athletes).

Closing ceremonies and award presentations for the 5-meter competition begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 3, followed by Daisy Night at the Water Park, when all teams are invited to gather, swim, ride water slides and watch the fireworks.
